“Any woman who calls another woman ‘ashawo’ is against women empowerment agenda” – Juliet Ibrahim » ™

Juliet Ibrahim has said she finds women who slut-shame each other agents working against the universal women empowerment agenda.

According to her, it is quite wrong for any woman to describe another woman as ‘slut’ or ‘whore’ whenever there’s a disagreement or altercation.

In an Instagram post, Juliet Ibrahim intimated that women need to support each other and stay on course on the agenda of women equality and empowerment.

Why are women so comfortable slut-shaming each other whenever there’s an altercation?
It is NOT okay when the male gender calls a female a slut but we’re saying it’s okay for females to slut-shame themselves?
slut’ and ‘whore’ still possess the power to destroy the lives of individual women and young girls.
Women are in the world fighting for gender equality in every sector of life; so ladies isn’t it better we stop the double standards and focus on supporting each other rather than bringing each other down as women?

This concern from Juliet Ibrahim comes following a viral altercation that ensured between Seyi Shay and Tiwa Savage some weeks ago at a salon where both slut-shame each other.

Juliet believes if women want to be taken seriously by men, they need to respect each other and move away from denigrating and berating one another for the sake of Women Empowerment.
