Arise TV Anchor, Rufai Oseni Receives Death Threat From Anonymous Group

Arise TV anchor Rufai Oseni has reportedly received a death threat from an anonymous group. Ojy Okpe, Rufai’s colleague, revealed the threat during Arise TV’s morning show segment “What’s Trending.”

Okpe read from a Facebook post by a group called “Anonymous Collective,” which claimed that Rufai’s life and family were in danger. The page, which has thousands of followers, is known for exposing secrets and plans by unidentified individuals, anonymous death threats.

Rufai commented on the threat, noting that this was not the first time he had received such threats on his life and his family’s. Despite the toll his job has taken on him and his family, he said he would not stop working because credible journalism is necessary for the country. Ojy assured Rufai that everyone at Arise TV stands behind him.

The post also mentioned the ongoing claims of Peter Obi’s arrest, stating that these plans are about to be executed. The anonymous group encouraged Rufai to stay safe. The news of the threat has sparked concern among viewers and raises the issue of the safety of journalists in Nigeria
