Former FBI Agent Speaks On Tinubu’s Alleged Drug Charges In The United State

A former FBI special agent in the United States, Mr Akib Abiola, has recently reacted to the alleged drug case that has been leveled against Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect of Nigeria in the USA.

The former FBI was seen is in a video explaining how he met with Tinubu and helped him to facilitate his Asylum Visa in 1994 and that allegations of him being involved in drugs and money laundering was a lie.

Mr Akib said that there was no information of any kind or arrest warrant against Tinubu with the US state department that Tinubu was involved in drugs or money laundering.

He said, “Speaking about the controversy surrounding Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s involvement in drug trafficking and money laundering in the US, I can tell you categorically that all the talks are pure nonsense. This is because I was the one who facilitated Tinubu’s Asylum Visa with the state department in 1994.”

“I was working for a US agency in Washington DC at the time. I was also a special agent for the FBI in fact, I assisted in establishing his office in Nigeria. Due to my position at the time, I helped several Nigerians who flew to the US due to the political crisis at the time. Asiwaju was dedicated to democracy as he was one of those who pushed for it. There was no information of any kind from the state department about drugs or money laundering. No warrant has ever been issued against Asiwaju,” he said.
