Hot air ballooning season begins in Botswana’s Okavango Delta

With tourism on its lows in Botswana, Okavango Delta has opened the ballooning season.

A balloon ride offering bird’s-eye view on Okavango Delta has begun at Wilderness Safaris’ Vumbura Plains Camp within the country’s inland delta.

According to Wilderness Safaris, tourists can now enjoy hot air balloon safari over the Okavango Delta with the season closing in mid-September.

“Guests can also choose to extend the experience by adding on a 15- or 30-minute scenic helicopter flight back to camp, at extra cost,” said One Mazunga, Wilderness Safaris Vumbura Concession Manager.

The balloon safari adds to the diverse list of already popular activities on offer, including game drives, game walks and boating.

Okavango Delta is a World Heritage Site. It is home to hundreds of species of animals and birds. Enditem
