My Wife Was Diagnosed With Brain Cancer And People Blamed Me For Her Illness. I Was Devastated; Paul

Paul Muchiri from Nairobi sadly shares how he was blamed by people for his wife’s Ilness, after she was diagnosed with brain cancer.

According to him he was born and raised in Meru. He finished his secondary education and he relocated to Nairobi where he got a job. He also met his wife who was in school at that time. She dropped out after she got pregnant for him and moved in with him.

They were blessed with three children and they did ordinary jobs to support their children. However thirty years later his wife started feeling unwell. She had severe headaches that failed to go away.

She went to different hospitals where she received medication and she received short-term treatment. After a few months she w t to a more specialized hospital where she received a CT- scan. She was informed that she had a tumor on her brain and she needed surgery.

He says that he took. Her to hospital where she received her first surgery. However one month later she had a mental problem and she became mentally unstable. Neighbors friends and family said that she was suffering from depression and blamed him for her Ilness. They claimed that he had mistreated her so badly that she lost her mind.

He says that this rumors broke his heart completely and he became restless. He took her to hospital where she was tested and the doctors confirmed that she was suffering from brain cancer. She lost her ability to see and walk. He supported her through her treatment a d he took her to and from chemo therapy.

He says that he was affected mentally as some people stopped helping and abandoned him completely and he spent everything he had to save her life. However, after six years of struggling from brain cancer, his wife died and he is heartbroken. He thought that she would survive and she would tell people how good and caring he was.

“I wish that my wife would be hear with me today. I miss her and my heart is aching.” He says.

He has adviced people not talk negatively about others especially when they do nat have proper information of what’s going on in their lives.
