Former President of the Republic, Jerry John Rawlings, has advised a deputy Chairperson of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita Desoso, to stop bleaching.

Rawlings who is the Founder of the umbrella family told De Sosoo at the 39th anniversary of the June 4th uprising at a ceremony held at at the Madina Social Welfare School Park, Monday that her fair complexion is becoming unnatural and therefore must put an end to using bleaching creams and soaps.

“She is getting too fair. ‘Y3ngyai sa samina no na 3ny3’, to wit, let us stop using that bleaching soap because it is bad. She said I am his father and so let me tell her what I want to say”, an elated Rawlings noted amidst laughter from the crowd.

Mr. Rawlings’ comments came moments after Desoso knelt down and begged him to forgive the sins of her NDC.

“Founder, I know your children we have erred and I also know that you are a human being and you have also done something maybe it is not right. And I was so happy when I heard you say that when you bought a statement out, rendering an apology – you are a hero. You are a hero.

This shows that what you have thought me is still within me. If you are a leader, be prepared to say that I am sorry. If you are a child, be prepared to say that daddy I’m sorry.

So, I will take this opportunity on behalf of the party to kneel down before my dad – please forgive us. Let us come together to build this country”, an emotional Desoso pleaded with the former Ghanaian Head of State.”
