iciHaiti - Justice : 3 Ministry executives arrested and imprisoned
Following a complaint lodged against 3 executives of the Ministry of National Education for their alleged involvement in the production and delivery of false candidate cards to several directors of private schools, allowing students to illegally participate in official exams last year, investigating Judge Gimmy Thélot issued an arrest order.
Executives arrested by the PNH :
Carlo Pierre : Head of the Artibonite State Examinations Office;
Didier Pierre : Deputy Director of the Artibonite Departmental Directorate of the Ministry of National Education;
Jacky Charles : Archivist of the Examinations Bureau.
The offices of these 3 executives have been sealed for the duration of the investigation.
Me Sérard Gasius Government Commissioner at the Court of First Instance of Gonaïves, at the request of Judge Gimmy Thélot, ordered a deposit of the 3 arrested suspects pending legal action.
