National: warnings issued as country braces for Storm Agnes

While Donegal is expected to miss the worst of it, a number of counties have been issued with weather warnings as Storm Agnes is set to touch down in Ireland tomorrow.

Warnings have been issued for 24 counties in the north, south and east of the country, with orange rain and wind warnings issued for Cork, Kerry and Waterford.

Yellow warnings for wind and rain cover Munster and Leinster, while the six counties in the North have also been issued yellow warnings.

Met Éireann say to expect gusty winds and potential localised flooding and difficult travel conditions in parts tomorrow also.

While no warning is in place for Donegal as of yet, tomorrow still looks set to be a miserable day nonetheless.

Met Éireann are forecasting wet and windy in the North West tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow evening – so the umbrella will still be needed tomorrow, even if Donegal escapes the worst of the conditions.
