O’Brien to consider publishing Donegal County Council planning corruption report

Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien says he will bring a memo to cabinet regarding alleged Donegal County Council planning corruption this year, according to the Sunday Business Post.

In response to a question posed by Green Party TD Patrick Costello, O’Brien has promised to forward a memo to cabinet, looking to publish a report into alleged corruption in the planning department of Donegal County Council in the early 2000s.

The report, called “A Review Into Certain Planning Matters in Respect of Donegal County Council”, was completed six years ago in 2017, but has since sat on the minister’s desk in the Department of Housing.
