61-y-o murdered at Frome sugar factory

Sixty-one-year-old Dalton Plummer, a Fire Watchman, of Georges Plain in Westmoreland, was shot and killed while on duty at the Frome Sugar Factory on Wednesday.

According to the Morgan's Bridge police, shortly after midday, Plummer was on Fire Watch duties in a canefield when he was ambushed and shot multiple times by unknown assailants.

The Frome Sugar Factory Security team was alerted and upon arrival, Plummer was discovered lying along a canefield interval with gunshot wounds to his face.

He was rushed to the Savanna la mar Hospital where he died while being treated.

Investigations are currently underway.
