The National Works Agency says the Bog Walk Gorge in St. Catherine remains closed.
On Tuesday morning, NWA Communication Manager Stephen Shaw said water was still flowing over the bridge.
He said the entity will have to carry out an assessment then bring out equipment to address silt and debris when the water subsides.
The water has since subsided and the NWA was busy removing silt from the Gorge by early afternoon.
