‘Demon’ on triple murder rap Loop Jamaica

Police investigators arrested and charged a 26-year-old man in relation to a triple murder that occurred two years ago on Red Hills Road in St Andrew.

Four other people were shot and injured in the incident.

The accused, Damion Taylor, otherwise called ‘Demon’, a labourer of Woodrow Street, Kingston 12, was charged with three counts of murder, wounding with intent, and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Those who died in the gun attack were 27-year-old Rushane White, otherwise called ‘Barber’, 29-year-old Kemonie White, otherwise called ‘Shella’, both of Park Lane, Kingston 19, and 27-year-old Alex Henry, otherwise called Pelpa’, a labourer of Red Hills Road.

Reports from the police are that about 7:50pm on July 25, 2021, Rushane, Kemonie, and Alex were standing among a group of people when three men, one of whom was allegedly Taylor, approached them and opened gunfire hitting them.

The three then escaped in the area.

The police were alerted, and the injured taken to the hospital where, Rushane, Kemonie and Alex were pronounced dead, and the others treated and released.

Following investigations, Taylor was arrested.

He was reportedly pointed out during an identification parade and subsequently interviewed and charged on February 7, 2023.

The police said his court date is being finalised.
