'Devil Man' charged with murder

David McKenzie, otherwise called 'Devil Man', a mason of March Pen Road, St. Catherine, has been charged with murder and illegal possession of firearm relating to an incident on Belvedere Crescent in St. Andrew last year.

Mr. McKenzie, 27, was charged with the murder of 29-year-old Marvin Lindsay, otherwise called 'Peas Head', of Belvedere Crescent.

Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that about 6:15 p.m. on December 21, 2022, Mr. McKenzie and Mr. Lindsay were having a conversation with another man when it is alleged that Mr. McKenzie pulled a gun and opened fire at Lindsay, killing him.

Mr. McKenzie and the other man escaped in a motorcar.

A report was made to the police and an investigation launched.

Mr. McKenzie was arrested and subsequently charged on Tuesday.

A court date is being finalised.

The police have since launched a manhunt for his co-accused.
