The Kingston Central Police have arrested and charged one man in relation to the seizure of an illegal firearm and 13 rounds of ammunition during an operation on Church Street, Kingston.
Charged is 19-year-old Anthony Henry of Chancery Lane, Kingston.
According to the police, lawmen conducted a snap raid along the roadway when they saw Henry behaving in a manner that aroused their suspicion.
He was approached and attempted to flee, but was accosted by the team.
One Taurus pistol and a magazine containing 13 rounds were taken from him.
His court date is being arranged.
