Four men suspected of being part of a criminal network captured in Hanover

Four men suspected to be members of a criminal network involved in contract killings and other serious crimes in western Jamaica, were captured Monday evening by the Hanover police.

Two illegal guns and more than 60 rounds of ammunition were seized in the operation.

A motorcycle used by the men was also seized.

Radio Jamaica News was informed that about 7 o'clock, police received reports that men were seen lurking suspiciously outside a supermarket in Hopewell, Hanover.

In a snap operation, two men were held and during a search, two Glock pistols as well as three magazines reportedly taken from them.

The cops reported that they found additional rounds in the men's pockets, bringing the total number of ammunition seized to 62.

The police then carried out a raid at a location in Barbican district, Sandy Bay, where two more suspects were captured.

The men are being investigating by the Major Investigations Division in connection with at least three murders, including a double murder in Hanover.
