There is a trough across Jamaica that is expected to remain across the island over the next few days.
Other current regional weather features as identified by the Met Service include an area of low pressure across the south-western Caribbean as well as a stationary front across northern Bahamas.
The Met Service said there is also a tropical wave approaching the eastern Caribbean that has a medium chance of development into a tropical cyclone over the next five days.
