Two men of Kingston addresses have been charged in connection with the murder of 39-year-old Shelton Watson, a vendor of Vincent District in Highgate, St Mary, on Saturday, May 13.
The accused men have been identified as 30-year-old Dushane Gentles, a vendor of Q Lane in Kingston 13, and 37-year-old Rowan Gordon, otherwise called ‘Rugu’, truck driver of Lincoln Crescent also in Kingston.
They have been charged with Murder, Wounding With Intent, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition, and Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony.
Reports are that about 3:20pm, citizens heard explosions coming from a section of the community, and alerted the police.
On arrival of the lawmen, Watson and another man were discovered lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds to their bodies.
They were both rushed to hospital where Gordon was pronounced dead, and the other man treated and later released.
