The police have revealed that the gunman who killed four people at an Oklahoma medical building on Wednesday had been a surgery patient of one of the victims.
Tulsa Police Chief Wendell Franklin told a news conference today that the shooter, Michael Louis, who police also found dead, shot and killed Dr. Preston Phillips, Dr. Stephanie Husen, Amanda Green and William Love in a medical building on the campus of Saint Francis Hospital.
Mr. Louis received further treatment from Dr. Phillips, the day before the shooting after complaining of pain.
Chief Franklin says after the incident, a letter was found on the shooter which made it clear that he came in with the intent of killing Dr. Phillips and anyone who got in his way.
The gunman bought an AR-15-style semiautomatic rifle from a gun store about two hours before the shooting.
Another weapon purchased days before was also found at the scene.
