Sandals Montego Bay Region Checks in on Chetwood for ‘Read Across Jamaica’ Day

Napoléon Bonaparte once said “show me a family of readers, and I will show you the people who move the world,” and so it is that earlier this week General Managers from Sandals Resorts in the Montego Bay Region along with other members of their team switched out their hospitality hats for reading books as they ventured into Chetwood Memorial  Primary in St. James for Read Across Jamaica Day. Observed as part of Child Month and Education Week, Read Across Jamaica Day aims to promote a passion for reading and the significance of literacy throughout the island’s schools. Dressed like popular story book characters and beaming with joy at the prospects of being awarded trophies for their efforts as well as prizes, some of which were donated by Sandals Resorts in the Montego Bay Region, the students welcomed their visitors with opens arms and gladly participated in reading sessions.
