The Constant Spring police in St Andrew are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a shop keeper, who was shot and killed by gunmen outside his shop on Wednesday night, June 7.
The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Omar Wright, of Grants Pen Road also in St Andrew.
Reports by the police are that about 10:40pm, Wright was at his shop when he was attacked and shot multiple times by unknown assailants.
Residents in the community summoned the police and upon their arrival, Wright was discovered lying in a pool of blood on the ground beside his shop, with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The scene was processed and the he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
