The Hanover Police say they have yet to identify a man who is said to be of unsound mind who died from injuries he received after being hit by a motor vehicle in Hanover on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred along the Kenilworth Main Road in the parish.
It is reported that the man was hit by a vehicle being driven by a medical doctor attached to the Falmouth Hospital.
The doctor was driving his BMW motor car from the direction of Lucea Hospital, towards Montego Bay, when the man who is said to be of an unsound mind walked across the path of the vehicle.
The victim sustained head and body injuries and was killed on impact.
The Sandy Bay police were summoned and upon arrival , the scene was processed and the body removed to the Doyle's Funeral Home for post mortem examination.
