Six people, including three children, have been killed in a shooting at a private Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee.
Nashville police said they engaged and killed the shooter, who was a 28-year-old woman.
Police are still working to identify the victims and the assailant.
At a news conference, police spokesperson Don Aaron confirmed the dead included three children, three staff members and the shooter.
The suspect was carrying two "assault-type" rifles and at least one pistol was recovered at the scene.
The Covenant School in Nashville, where the incident took place, is a private Christian school for students in pre-school through the sixth grade, when students are roughly 11 or 12 years old.
