YANGON -- Myanmar kicked off its vaccination drive for the children aged five to 12 years old at schools across the country on Thursday, state-run television channel MRTV reported.
In the capital city of Nay Pyi Taw, 109,682 school children aged 5 and 12 from 842 schools would be vaccinated against COVID-19, the television channel announced. (Myanmar-COVID-19-Vaccination)

HONG KONG -- The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government said Friday that it will distribute about 60,000 sets of COVID-19 rapid antigen test (RAT) kits to people in an area of the city as part of a follow-up on recent detection of the COVID-19 virus in sewage samples.
The test kits will be distributed to residents, cleaning workers, and property management staff working in an estate in Sai Kung District with positive sewage testing results showing relatively high viral loads, in order to help identify infected persons, it said. COLOMBO -- Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa instructed officials to maintain adequate stocks of all essential food items to prevent a shortage of goods, the president's media division announced on Friday.

PHNOM PENH -- Political parties in Cambodia on Friday concluded a two-week campaign for Sunday's commune elections, without any remarkable incidents, a National Election Committee (NEC) member said.
