Monde Maqala, communications manager at the school said Lesotho is known as a peaceful country but lately a lot is happening. As according to the court statistics, the country is ranking number one with the highest rate of violence so they as a school purposely held a fun march to raise awareness.

“Everyone is a target of violence in this country, a fun march is the only way to send the message to people both directly and indirectly,” Maqala said last week adding that “We are singing today, we hope to see change in our country, people should report all violent acts without fear.” he further stated.

Maqala wants to see the assault cases dropping with more foreign investors coming and the country’s economy increasing.

Maseeiso Liphoto, a lecturer at the school said everyone is aware of the violence of human rights especially those of women and children in the whole world and that clearly something should be done to stop them. It is her belief there is going to be a positive change in this country, as she has seen public reactions while they were marching. It is everyone’s responsibility to love each other, love and take care of their loved ones and not abuse them.

An excited student Bethule Ramakatsa, their aim is to stop violence in Lesotho, bring a positive impact on students as well as inspire every citizen.

The School of Crafts and Development offers the following courses, Fashion Design, Cosmetology, Catering as well as Carpentry all in the period of six months.
