Papa Franjo: Znam kroz šta prolaze oboljeli kad se bore za dah

Papa Franjo rekao je da zna kroz šta prolaze oboljeli od COVID-19, pošto je kao mladić jedva preživio tešku respiratornu infekciju.

Franju je u rodnoj Argentini zbog bolesti odstranjen veći dio plućnog krila 1957. kada je imao 20 godina, prenosi N1.

“Mjesecima nisam znao ko sam, nisam znao hoću li preživjeti. Ni ljekari nisu znali hoću li uspjeti”, prisjeća se 83-godišnji papa u novoj knjizi.

“Jednog dana sam zagrlio majku i pitao je hoću li umrijeti… Iz tog iskustva znam kroz što prolaze pacijenti s koronavirusom kad se bore za dah”.

Radi se o citatima iz knjige “Let Us Dream: The Path to a Better Future” (Sanjajmo: Put u bolju budućnost) koju je Franjo napisao sa svojim engleskim biografom Ostinom Ivereigom.

Knjiga iz štampe izlazi 1. decembra, a odlomke je danas objavio italijanski dnevnik Republika.
