Government through the ministry of education has confirmed the health incident happened at Lunzu Secondary School as student believed to ta eat poisonous food this morning on 25 September 2025.
Education publicist Mphatso Nkuonera has confirmed the development is true as So far, 45 students have been affected, but most of them are responding to treatment well.
According to Nkuonera, 3 of the learners are still at the Hospital waiting for further observation.
A video circulating on social media is showing students from Lunzu secondary being carried to Mlambe hospital after taking food believed to be poisoned.
Meanwhile, the ministry has suspended the use of all food items at the school as we are working on the matter immediately.
