State vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima has express his sadness over the death of former Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President John Zenus Ungapake Tembo.
Tembo succumbed to diabetes this morning at Lilongwe Private Clinic.
Writing on his official facebook page Chilima described Tembo’s death as a loss to the nation.
“On the sad passing of Honourable JZU Tembo, we are seized by grief and sadness and extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends for this painful loss.
“We join His Excellency the State President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and the entire MCP fraternity, to mourn Honourable JZU Tembo,” said Chilima in the statement.
Tembo died at the age of 91.
