State Vice President Dr. Saulosi Klaus Chilma will be at the High Court today, September 25, 2023 to take plea in a case where he is accused by the state that he allegedly to have been involved in corruption with Zuneth Sattar.

In today’s hearing, the State is expected to disclose all evidentiary materials to the defence counsel which is led by well known legal minds in the country, Kalekeni Kaphale SC.

During the last court session, Justice Professor Redson Kapindu ruled that the constitution of Malawi law provides for “fair trial” which means the state has to provide to the accused full disclosures of their case for the defence to prepare properly and that the state has a burden of proof in the matter.

Kapindu ruled that local and international evidences must be given to the accused.
