Exit, Top Cheri to headline Okakarara winter bash

The ‘All-White Party’ winter bash set for Saturday at Tate Sammy Beer House, will be headlined by kwaito sensation Exit and female diva Top Cheri.

This will be the fifth edition of the event after Covid-19. Samuel Petrus, alias Tate Sammy, of Okakarara’s Tate Sammy Beer House is organising the event.

He says attendees should dress entirely in white. Namibia Breweries Limited will also be promoting itself, according to Tate Sammy, and there will be a variety of competitions, with the potential for winners to get phones.

While limiting partygoers to one colour might seem unfair (unless the fans are regular visitors to all-white parties), supporters of the genre say they permit anyone to participate in a small display of splendour.

Apart from performances from Exit and Top Cheri, other artists such as Mutjanga Tjike, Beckham and DJ Omdesh are expected to take the stage.

Radio host Max-T will be the emcee of the night.

Tate Sammy says this year’s event aims to attract a larger crowd. “Compared to previous events, this year’s edition we have different artists of different genres to cater for everybody,” says Tate Sammy.

Top Cheri promises to give her best performance during this event as this will be her second performance at Okakarara.

“This is going to be a fun-filled event as I am going to offer my best performances ever,” says Top Cheri, who will be performing her new and old songs.

She will be performing songs such as ‘Omapendafule’, and ‘Koko’ and one of her new songs titled ‘Oboy”.

According to Tate Sammy, the free event aims to offer an entertainment extravaganza to Okakarara residents who are hungry for entertainment.

“The event also aims to attract investors to Okakarara. These events are normally hosted in the capital. That’s why we decided to take development to Okakarara this time around,” says Tate Sammy.
