Key European nations unite to reshape Ukraine defense strategy

Five major European nations defence chiefs got-together in Berlin to talk about making Ukraine stronger. Boris Pistorius the German defence minister led talks with his co-workers from Britain France Italy and Poland

The meeting happened right after Donald Trump won — which made everyone think about what-to-do next. Europe needs to step-up its game since Trump dont really like giving money to Ukraine. Pistorius said: “we must help Ukraine be strong“ (he used different words but thats what he meant)

The Polish minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz talked about how Europe should do more stuff together:

  • Make better plans with other countries
  • Spend more money on defence
  • Get people to understand whats going on
  • Work better with USA

In about a month NATO will start doing something new — theyll run things from Wiesbaden (a city in Germany) to help Ukraine get military stuff. Its kind of like making sure everything keeps working even if USA changes its mind

The whole meeting showed how Europe is trying to be more grown-up about defence; working together more and not just waiting for USA to fix everything. They want to make sure Ukraine gets help no matter what happens next year
