Burnley vs. Chelsea: Chelsea’s possible line-up against Sean Dyche’s Burnley

Chelsea will travel to play Burnley full of confidence after they crushed Russian side Krasnodar in the UEFA Champions League.

The Blues breezed past the Russian opposition on Wednesday as four of Chelsea’s attacking talent all netted in the convincing win.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner (from the Penalty spot) and Christian Pulisic all got their name on the scoreboard for Chelsea.

But Blues boss, Frank Lampard will find it difficult to start them all in one single match like in the game against Burnley.

Lampard is likely to start up with a 4-2-3-1 formation. And this should see Edouard Mendy keeping his place in between the sticks.

Reece James is set to start at right-back, with new signing Ben Chilwell expected to keep his place at left-back.

Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma will likely continue their partnership in the central defence. While Andreas Christensen and Fikayo Tomori should be on the Chelsea bench.

In the midfield position, Jorginho (Penalty taker) and N’Golo Kante will keep their place in the deep position (double pivot) thus leaving out Mateo Kovacic on the bench.

Yet again Kai Havertz is set to continue in the free role behind the Chelsea Number 9.

And he would be flanked by Hakim Ziyech on the right and Christian Pulisic on the left. And this could see Mason Mount dropped from the Blues XI.

Timo Werner is expected to start as the lone central striker meaning Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham would start from the bench hoping to make an impact when they are called upon later in the game.
