How Dr. Mercy Uwakwe Foundation Empowering Youths With Scholarships, Cash Prize Awards

The Dr. Mercy Uwakwe Foundation, also known as the Mercy Wave Foundation, has announced its readiness to reopen the empowerment and scholarships portals after a brief hiatus following the pandemic.

According to reports, the Chairperson of Mercy Wave Conglomerate, Princess Dr. Mercy Seaphrora Uwakwe also recently confirmed the approval of a multimillion naira entrepreneurial proposal by the Board of Directors for Mr. Anichie Munachiso, Mr. Samuel Chijioke and Happiness Nnedinma. She further expressed the readiness and willingness of the foundation to cater for the needs of the less privileged through any means. She reiterated the importance of education as a key component of human lives and promised her foundation is fully committed in ensuring that it covers more people having already produced over 200 beneficiaries in such a short time. In the key area of entrepreneurship, over 100 entrepreneurs have received cash prizes up to 5 million naira.

Some of the officially announced beneficiaries of the Full University Scholarship Scheme includes; Esther Somto, a student of the Institute of Management and Technology -IMT, Oladapo Larry, University of Nigeria Nsukka, Micheal Chibuzo John of the Enugu State University of Technology- ESUT and Ukoha Michael, a student at the Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike.

Another category of winners are the beneficiaries of Mercy Uwakwe Youth Empowerment Scheme- MUYES Awards. The beneficiaries include Ifeoma Okoye Sylvia and Chinazor Onyia, both received cash prizes totalling over 3 million naira, this brings the total MUYES beneficiaries to 205.

The winners from the various categories expressed sincere appreciation to Dr. Mercy Seaphrora Uwakwe and her foundation for providing such enabling opportunities for them to improve their lives and become better persons in the society. They promised to continue working hard in their academics and businesses respectively so as to repay the trust of the foundation.
