Winner of Face of Akwa Ibom 2020, Queen Agnes Nelson, says if there is any goal set for herself to pursue is how to wear the crown of Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) and thereafter proceed to contest for the Miss World beauty pageant Crown.
Nelson stated this while fielding questions from journalists in Calabar few days after winning crown of Face of Akwa Ibom in July 1, this year.
The beauty contest which is organized by SLYZB movies music Production Company & Modeling Agency in collaboration with the Akwa Ibom State Government also had its sponsorship from Utah hotel and suit Uyo.
Activities line up for her pet project which would soon kick-start immediately she settles down includes, visitation to orphanage and aged home to see how they are faring, stressing that under the auspices of Agnes Nelson Foundation (her NGO) visitation would be made to schools after resumption to equip young people with capacity/ skills in various areas of human endeavors so that they can grow up to become self-reliant.
Other areas of interest which the beauty queen indicated interest to tackle include enlightenment of young girls on how to handle issues relating to rape cases and other aspect of molestation that are degrading to womanhood.
“I would enlightened young girls on how to adopt preventive measures on how to detect a randy man with a plan to rape you.
“Apart from that, I would also educate girls on how to manage themselves and perhaps detect rapists whenever they come in touch with any rapist in their neighborhood”. The 20years Akwa Ibom State beauty queen claimed.
Like ‘Oliver Twist’ Nelson stated that until she wears the most beautiful girl in the world before she can see herself as being fulfilled.
When asked her source of inspiration to pageantry instead of fashion designer which she claimed was her first passion, Nelson said, “At a tender age I developed likeness for Ana Banner an indigene of Bayelsa state who won the crown for Most beautiful girl in Nigeria MBGN 2013, I told myself that I would be like Anna Banner as even surpassed her”.
“At a tender age I a dream of becoming a beauty queen, so that I can use that platform to impact on the society.
“My first contest was in 2018 where I emerged second runner up in Queen of Nature Beauty Pageant organized by C-Global Entertainment in Cross River State”. Nelson explained.
When asked to explained on why she used cowbell sachets for her costume instead of the conventional beads for contest, she said, ” I used cowbell to spice myself because I take a lot of cowbell milk right from when I was a little baby.’ Nelson maintained.
