One person injured following a stabbing in Hamilton

Police have arrested an individual after reports came in on Tuesday of a person being stabbed.

Police have arrested an individual after reports came in on Tuesday of a person being stabbed.

A 22-year-old woman will appear in court on Wednesday following a stabbing in Hamilton.

Police were called to a premises in Whitiora around 5.30pm on Tuesday after they received reports of a person being stabbed.

The individual sustained moderate injuries and was taken to hospital.

A woman has been charged with wounding with intent and will appear in the Hamilton District Court, a police spokesperson said.

As the matter is now before the courts, no further information is available.
