THE two Indian war ships are in country as part of diplomacy and goodwill visit.

PNG Defence Force Commander Major General Mark Goina told this newspaper yesterday there were also no bilateral activities between PNG Defence Force and the ships since the arrival.

“As partners just like United States, Australia, New Zealand, China, Great Britain and Japan they do continuous visit with any country they partner by strengthening relationships.

“We are grateful of the arrival of the two ships for three days visit and departing today (Friday) no activities is being conducted with them it is just a port visit into Port Moresby,” Maj Gen Goina said.

He said in terms of bilateral relationship with India they mainly focus on training where one to two soldiers from PNG are sent yearly for trainings.
