The province’s primary objective is always making sure its residents and people take part together, especially in the areas of fisheries, agriculture and tourism.

And with what little money the government provides, the province continues to move forward.

Today the province presented its 2022 acquittals to the Department of Implementation and Rural Development (DIRD). A total of K500,000 (K250,000 – Discretional and K250,000 – Non Discretional).

The 2021 PSG Non Discretional funding was released in 2022 and deposited into the Milne Bay Provincial Government Trust Account.

It was noted that the provincial Finance Office could not provide copies of the COVID-19 Emergency Trust Account, the Expenditure Summary, copies of the Checklist, Form 11 of the direct deposits and all other supporting document of 2022 Non Discretional Component as provided by the Office of the Governor and the provincial Finance Office.
