Four young men from Chimbu province have supplied the Goroka market with 20 bags of English potatoes over the weekend.

Naru Mondo, 24, John Geglual 23, and Maniho brothers Joshua, 19 and Kenneth, 23, all from the Kegesugo Community in ward one of Mitnande Local Level Government area in Kundiawa-Gembogl District, transported their bags of English potatoes to Goroka on Friday.

They were selling only five bags yesterday (Monday) when this paper caught up with them at the Goroka market.

They spent around K500 to have the bags moved from the farms on the rugged mountains of Chimbu to Goroka.

In terms of the overheads, they spent K140 for the freight of the 20 bags at K7 per bag from Mitnande to Kundiawa, K160 for 20 bags all taking up the eight seats at K20 a seat on a coaster bus, for the freight for each bag from their village to Kundiawa.
