KATHRYN BERNARDO – The Kapamilya superstar was asked about the success of her film “A Very Good Girl” and this is what she said.
Drawing Php 10 million on its first day is the film “A Very Good Girl” starring Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly De Leon. ABS-CBN noted this box office haul after it sold over 32,000 tickets in over 250 cinemas nationwide.
The milestone on the opening day, September 27, makes the film the “biggest Filipino movie of 2023.”
On the opening day, Kathryn and Dolly visited several theaters in Metro Manila on the opening day. This is their way of expressing their gratitude to the viewing public. This film will have a wide release in the United States on October 6.
It is also expected to be shown in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Guam, Saipan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Nigeria and the Middle East. The film also stars Jake Ejercito, Angel Aquino, Chie Filomeno, Donna Cariaga, Kaori Oinuma, Nathania Guerrero, and Nour Hooshmand.
As of September 40, the earnings of the film already reached Php 40 million. Star Cinema shared, “Thank you for loving the new era of Star Cinema! 💫 #AVeryGoodGirl has made P40M as of September 30, 7 PM, with over 125,000 tickets sold!”
Speaking about this success, Kathryn expressed that she’s over the moon because of it. She is very happy with everything that is happening and for the support that the people are giving her and her new film.
In a report from ABS-CBN, she is grateful for a lot of things. She was interviewed during the ABS-CBN Ball 2023. Her work is good and she is elated that Philippine cinema is also doing good.
She added, “So ang dami nating kailangang i-celebrate at ipagpasalamat na may trabaho tayo.”
