Jim Paredes, Boboy Garovillo Reunite For A New Song Called “Quarantine Baby”
JIM PAREDES – Former APO Hiking Society members Boboy Garovillo and Jim Pareded have reunited for a new song “Quarantine Baby.”
Most of the artists now can’t perform outside due to the 2019 novel coronavirus pandemic. But the pandemic couldn’t stop them from creating new music.
Several Filipino musicians have released their songs related to life in quarantine. Among them are Lea Salonga, Gloc-9, Raymund Marasigan, and Rico Blanco.
The former members of the Filipino musical group APO Hiking Society, Jim Paredes, and Boboy Garovillo reunited for a new song titled “Quarantine Baby.” The two singers reunite virtually to compose a timely song.

On Wednesday, Jim Paredes released the song the official music video of their new song on his Youtube Channel. The song highlights the struggles of couples face amid the lockdown.
The music video shows the veteran singer performing a duet from their homes. It also features videos of a couple before and during the quarantine.
“Quarantine baby / My special lady / Habang social media nalang ba tayo?” Jim sings as the clip shows a couple talking via video call.
Jim was the one who wrote the lyrics while the music was arranged by Marlon Barnuevo. Sammy Samaniego edited the video.

APO Hiking Society was founded back in 1969. The musical group was composed of Boboy Garivillo, Jim Paredes, and 13 other musicians such as Lito de Joya, John Paul Micayabas, and Danny Javier.
The group disbanded in 2010 although Boboy and Jim still remain active in the entertainment business. APO has created over 22 albums with famous songs such as “Doo Bidoo,” “Batang-bata Ka Pa,” and “Panalangin.”
