SINIS Welcomes New Athlete Performance Coordinator

Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport (SINIS) has welcome its new Athlete Performance Coordinator, Matthew Palmer who will be joining the High Performance Centre Staff up until the upcoming XVII Pacific Games.

Mr Palmer is a staff member of SINIS and not a volunteer, as he will be working directly with the three Portfolio Managers (PMs) at the High Performance Centre to support SINIS performance services.

Speaking to SINIS MEDIA, Mr Palmer said he is looking forward to embracing the culture and the Solomon Islands way of life.

Mathew Palmer is an Australian Performance Coach specializing in individual wellbeing management for athletes.

He is highly passionate about working with individuals looking to improve their overall physical and mental health to improve performance, as Mr Palmer also promotes community health through social connection and physical activity.

The 2023 Pacific Games, officially known as the XVII Pacific Games, will be a continental multi-sport event for Oceania countries and territories that is scheduled to be held in Honiara, Solomon Islands between 19 November and 2 December 2023.
