SPBD Launches "White Goods Financing"

South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) Microfinance Solomon Islands Ltd is proud to announce the official launch of its newest loan product, “White Goods Financing,” in collaboration with Discount Electricals and Home Leisure (DEHL), one of the largest white goods distributors in the Solomon Islands.

The “White Goods Financing” product will allow SPBD clients to access funding to purchase affordable and high-quality white goods from DEHL, such as refrigeration/freezer appliances, cooking appliances, washing and drying appliances, heating and cooling appliances, solar products, furniture and much more at a 5% discount.

The main goal is for SPBD clients to use these products to increase productivity in their homes and businesses. The collaboration between SPBD and DEHL addresses the growing demand for household appliances while providing flexible payment plans tailored to the needs of SPBD clients.

White Goods Financing is just one of the many comprehensive financial products and services we offer to our valued clients. We also offer Microenterprise Loans, Childhood Education Loans, Overseas Workers Loans, and Savings accounts."

"SPBD goes beyond traditional financial services by providing additional support such as business entrepreneurial training, financial literacy training, and ongoing guidance and advice. These diverse offerings reflect SPBD’s commitment to empowering our clients from various urban and rural communities through inclusive financial solutions and holistic support.”

“The partnership with SPBD aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing quality products and services,” said CEO Andy Leung of Discount Electricals and Home Leisure.

“With this partnership, DEHL will be able to provide high-quality and affordable products to SPBD’s clients with the hopes of enhancing their lives. We are excited to work with SPBD to improve the well-being of individuals and families in the Solomon Islands.”

“I am honoured to share my story as the first SPBD client to receive a White Goods Financing loan, which enabled me to purchase a brand-new chest freezer to help with my business,” said SPBD client from Green Valley Centre, Pricilla Lole.

“Joining SPBD has been a turning point in my life, bringing about remarkable changes and opportunities. I am grateful for the trust and assistance provided by SPBD, which has allowed me to make significant positive changes in my life. The White Goods Financing loan, specifically, is instrumental in enhancing my business capabilities and improving my family’s quality of life. I encourage others to seize the opportunities provided by SPBD, embrace financial literacy, and utilize funds responsibly to maximize their potential for personal and professional growth,” she said.

SPBD’s mission is to improve the quality of life of underprivileged families by providing them meaningful economic opportunities to help lift them permanently out of poverty. SPBD is especially focused on empowering women to start, grow and maintain micro-businesses through the provision of access to financial and business development services as well as the opportunity to build assets, improve financial security and finance housing improvements and education.
