Justice Adrian Fisher, presiding at the Siaka Steven Street High Court, has on Monday, 25th September, incarcerated four alleged murderers, Santigie Bangura alias ‘Jagoy’, Abdul Rahman Dumbuya alias ‘Kondo’, Alhassan Kamara and David Fortune alias ‘Satan’ to the Male Correctional Centre at Pademba Road for allegedly killing Mohamed Umarr Karmoh Kamara.

They were before the court on three counts of murder, conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and accessory after the fact to murder, contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.

State Prosecutor, Solomon Kekura, alleged that the accused persons on Saturday 24 March 2019 at Adams Street, off Mountain Cut in Freetown, murdered Mohamed Umarr Karmoh Kamara.

It was further alleged that the accused persons on the same date and place, conspired with other persons unknown to cause grievous bodily harm with intent on the deceased.

In count three, it was alleged that the 4th accused, knowing that the 1st, 2nd and 3rd accused persons had murdered the deceased; received, comforted, harboured and maintained the said accused persons in his house.

When the matter was mentioned in court by the registrar, the prosecutor informed the court that his final witness who happens to be the pathologist, Doctor Simon Owizz Koroma, was not in court to testify because he is unwell.

He promised that on the next date his witness will be in court to testify in respect of the matter.

Meanwhile, Justice Fisher upheld the application of the prosecutor and adjourned the matter to Friday 29th September 2023 for the pathologist to testify.

The accused persons were not represented by any lawyer.
