MOMO VOTES NEAR 20M MARK

MBABANE – The MoMo Cup voting exercise has gained momentum, as total votes are nearing the 20 million mark.

It is survival of the fittest, as supporters give their all to make sure favourite clubs qualify for the MoMo cup. Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows maintain a lead, while Lozitha Spurs have also surpassed three million votes from the last standings. Part of the ‘big three’ in Manzini Wanderers has finally joined the ‘two million club’ in the standings. Mbabane Swallows, Mbabane Highlanders and the Manzini hub giants follow each other from position three to five, respectively.

Meanwhile, Rangers are getting closer to top six. The total number of votes will possibly hit 20 million by Monday, as there are less than 400 thousand before they reach that mark. The top two clubs with the highest number of votes will automatically qualify for two semi-final places  for the 2023 MoMo Cup. The semi-finals will be played on September 30, 2023. Teams occupying third to sixth position will qualify for playoffs to secure third and fourth position in the semi-finals. Play-offs will be played on September 23, this year.
