MBABANE – Siteki Junior Tennis Club will leave the country tomorrow morning en route to Gauteng in South Africa for a juniors’ tennis tournament.

The team, which is made of six players will take to courts on Saturday and Sunday and contest for better ranks in the Benoni Under-10s juniors’ tournament. Among the travelling squad is the country’s best Under-14 player, Joshan Eziegbo. The others are Sivu Dlamini, Bulelani Khumalo, Nonhle Dlamini and Bantubakhona Maseko. It will be a maiden participation for Sivu, as the rest have been competing in this juniors’ showpiece. They will be in the company of Siteki Tennis Club coach Njabulo Mbhamali, who is confident of a fruitful outing.

“They are well prepared and ready for this tour since it will be not their first time participating in this tour. ‘‘They usually return with good results, especially Joshua, who is not excelling locally but in international tournaments. We cannot also rule out the others as they are equally capable,” said Mbhamali. He further thanked sponsors of some of their travelling players such as Eziegbo and Bulelani Khumalo. The former is sponsored by Mbuyiselo Academy, while Kwakitsi Academy sponsors the latter. He also noted that they were still searching for sponsors for the others. The delegation is expected back home on Monday.
