Princes Town man shot dead during home invasion

A home invasion by gunmen in St Julien Village, Princes Town resulted in the murder of a man identified as Shawn Mohammed.

Villagers heard gunshots at around 8 pm on Friday and alerted police who responded within minutes. Mohammed, 32, was shot twice by the men who entered the house unannounced.

Police reports say Mohammed was shot once in his chest and in his head. He was taken to the Princes Town Health Facility by ambulance but was pronounced dead on arrival there.

Princes Town Police and Homicide Bureau Region III are investigating.
