KAIZER CHIEFS SIGN CALEB

As The South African website reported in August, Amakhosi recalled the 24-year-old Burundian to sign for the Glamour Boys after coach Arthur Zwane reportedly decided against signing him.

The towering center forward has since made started two games, including two substitute appearances against the likes AmaZulu and Marumo Gallants.

Before all of those moments, Mbesuma had a quick word with the 1.9-meter-tall number nine.

WHAT MBESUMA TOLD CALEB

According to this report, the Burundian first met Jomo Sono, before Mbesuma sent a short message on calmness and some advice to follow Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

“He’s being guided by the best. First, it was Jomo Sono who spoke to him, and then Collins Mbesuma,” Rui Frois of FTI Soccer Academy told FARPost.

“Mbesuma told him: ‘You must just be calm. He [Mbesuma] knows how they play and the system they use at Chiefs.

“But the biggest advice he gave him was that he must follow Erling Halaand religiously. He must watch how he finishes, the way he positions him.

“Mbesuma admires how Halaand anticipates and knows where the ball is going,” he added.

“’Mbesuma said to him: “’you’re playing with the best midfielders in the country”, which is a luxury. He was referring to the likes of Yusuf Maart, Siyethemba Sithebe, and Njabulo Blom,’” Frois concluded.
