ZAMBIAN boxer Steven Zimba says it is a dream come true to reach the finals of the welterweight category at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Zimba, who dedicated his triumph to team-mate Patrick Chinyemba whom he said was robbed of the win against Indian boxer Amit Panghal, said in an interview that it was not a mean achievement to reach the final at the Commonwealth Games.
“It means a lot for me to be in the final and that’s been my dream. I’m here for the final and gold medal. This is for Chinyemba who I feel was robbed in his fight. For the country, I promise a gold medal for you,” Zimba said.
