Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Foreign Minister of Iran, emphasized in a meeting of the Asian Crisis Council that Afghanistan is one of the “deep-rooted crises” in the region and underlined the regional impacts of this situation.
On Saturday, Iran’s Foreign Minister, in the Asian Council meeting on the Expansion of Terrorism and the Crisis of Migration and Refugees, regarded them as the consequences of the crisis in Afghanistan.
He added that a significant part of the persistence of terrorism and its expansion in the region is a source of concern and threats to the region and the world, stemming from “foreign policies and interventions.”
Additionally, Abdollahian explicitly labelled the situation in Afghanistan as a “deep-rooted crisis” with “numerous consequences for the region, including the threat of terrorism and the influx of refugees and displaced people.”
Meanwhile, neighbouring countries of Afghanistan, including Iran, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, have expressed their concerns about the spread of terrorism in Afghanistan.
At the same time, Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, the interim Prime Minister of Pakistan, in the 86th session of the United Nations General Assembly, condemned terrorist attacks in his country, which are carried out by groups such as the TTP, ISIS, and other active groups from Afghanistan.
On the other hand, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban, emphasized in a video message that Afghanistan will not be used against any country.
