Police said a man was shot and killed off Hamster Road early yesterday morning.

Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings said the victim left a home around 7 a.m. when a van approached him.

A man dressed in all blue exited the van, approached the man and shot him multiple times.

The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Skippings said police are appealing to anyone who saw anything to contact them.

This is the 97th murder for the year.
