China readies major trade show as foreign leaders head to Shanghai

The seventh China International Import Expo is set to begin this tuesday in Shanghai where Li Qiang will give opening remarks at this high-profile trade event (which runs till nov 9)

Top officials from six nations - Anwar Ibrahim from Malaysia‚ Shavkat Mirziyoyev from Uzbekistan Robert Fico from Slovakia Kassym-Jomart Tokayev from Kazakhstan Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh from Mongolia and Aleksandar Vučić from Serbia - are coming to join the five-day expo; their presence shows strong interest in Chinaʼs market

The yearly event - started by Xi Jinping about 6 years ago - comes as China deals with trade issues in tech areas like computer-chips and electric-cars. The EU wants to talk about fair-pricing for Chinese electric-cars: their team will come to Beijing soon for more discussions

The expo helps China show its still a good place for business even with some trade problems with US and Europe. This big-scale event lets China present its market changes and new rules that make trade easier
